Bright and beautiful. 🙂
All ways enjoy seeing your work.
Thank you dear Gemma! I now have a new computer, and look forward to getting home so that I can step up to a faster mode and catch up on all that I’ve missed on recent posts.
More soon, Z
I like the painting:
https://playamart.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/a18-guaranda-red-capes-p15006951.jpg?w=1024&h=771
When I tell Ecuadorians that I love the area around Guaranda, they seem baffled and ask, ‘How in the world did you find Guaranda?’
I love that unique little spot in the Andes, where the red-caped quinoa-growing indians punctuate the area with their unique presence. It’s a difficult place to reach from where I live, but I always rejoice in returning when time permits.
Thanks; I look forward to all of your posts, but this past week you’ve outdone yourself! What’s next, oh great one?!!!
z

love the lizard
Lisa, I love all of these, and the school children and Big Red are especially near and dear to my heart. This is the first time I have seen a “Water Apple” outside of the market in Santa Elena, CR. They are so lovely!

Thanks! I’m lucky to have a large manzana de agua tree in my back yard! The iguanas, large and small, love to feast on the fallen fruit. I never get tired of the unique flowers, either! z
Oooh, do you have pictures of the flowers on your site? I have never seen them either. ~ L
I have not published any images of the flowers but promise to do that soon!
z
You are so sweet! Thanks! ~ L
Love the focus on one color! Nice post Z!
Those are some wonderful, vibrant splashes of red, Z! Beautiful!
Beautiful!
Love both your photos and designs Lisa 🙂
Thanks, and I love your always-cheerful spirit! 🙂 z
Z, Your blogs always brighten my day!
and your comments brighten mine! :)) z
Love everything, your blog always make me smile! 🙂
Thanks, amiga! What’s your favorite color? Mine is probably the calming color of blue, yet I love to pair that with its complimentary color of orange. Red crops up a lot in the mola paintings… z
I love red! 🙂 Actually I love all colors but in different situations. I’m always dressed in black, but I’m getting a bit tired of that… I’ve yellow wallpapers in two of the rooms, I love the color but I would never, ever wear yellow clothes. I used to have a red car, but now it’s grey – boring… Most of my art is very colorful, I only have persian carpets with strong vibrant colors but the colors in the bedroom are very pale and soothing. Do I make any sense? Your paintings would fit very well in my home… :).
Hey! Yes, you make sense, and I suspected that you loved red! I remember once when I wore a bright-yellow shirt, and my good friend said that it made my face look green! I never wore bright yellow again!
I’ve heard that drivers of red cars often get more tickets from policemen, so gray is an intelligent choice!!!!
Ah, the carpets sound soothing and lovely. They must feel great on the bare feet, summer or winter! Do you believe in the theory of going barefoot as often as possible to stay grounded?! We have so many great topics for posts!
Z
Gorgeous as always! 🙂
Thank you, amiga! z
I so enjoyed all these images, but especially the red capes painting, and the beautiful red-stemmed cocktail glasses. 🙂
thank you so much! i’d love to have a sip from one of those red-stemmed glasses, though my friend who made the drinks is in floria right now! z
Interesting to see everything that’s red in your backyard. Love the fauna and flora of your world.
Thanks amiga! Each morning I look at the red hibiscus and wonder, ‘shall i pick them now for a tea or wait til the end of the day before they drop?’ i usually wait til the end of the day!
z
Great post Z. Love the rooster. 🙂
Thanks! I love red roosters but have not painted on in about thirty years! hmmmmm…. !
All of them are so lovely! Creative and special as always 🙂
What fun and lively RED photos. I ADORE the hibiscus, the starfruit tea, the glasses and that rooster, especially!
wow, amiga.. you get a big star on your chart for the sweep you made through the zeebra archives!!! thanks! i drink hibiscus tea every day when i am home.. at least a gallon a day! brew the starfruit with it, and ahhhhh, the aroma permeates the entire house!
thanks!
z
Yummy, I don’t think I’ve ever had hibiscus tea, so I must REALLY be missing out. Yes, I have a lot of catching up to do in all the blogs I follow, since I was on vacation, so am just picking one or two a day and playing catch-up!!
yes, being away for just a few days is difficult on staying current with other’s posts. you’ve had a busy few months! z
Yes, and I feel like I’ll never catch up! 🙂
Looks really nice. Looks like it’s apart of the art.
Your pictures are great.
It’s so nice having the right tools.
you will probably appreciate those tools when you frame your next picture! thanks! z
