The Let’s Be Wild website included one of my photos in their winners’ circle for their second photo challenge: Images of Weather. See the seven winners here: http://www.letsbewild.com/photo-challenge-winners/challenge-2-weather/
Many of you will recognize Barbara Beachman (www.salmonfishingqueen.wordpress.com) as the People’s Choice winner. Congratulations, Barbara and the rest of the winners!
I hope that many of you will join the new challenge of “Escape,” which will be open for entries through Tuesday of next week. I am presently traveling with friends in Ecuador’s Andes mountains, and will be sharing images of my escape soon!
See you at Let’s Be Wild! Lisa/Z
Congratulations! Your entry is gorgeous and deserved to win 🙂
thanks amiga.. that was an amazing morning, and the entire series of images was stunning. sometimes one is in the right place at the right time! z
Fantastic photo..congrats !!
thank you! ‘Escape’ is the next one, and I am sure you will find a creative solution and join us! z
Well deserved, Lisa. This coastal scene is full of energy. Enjoy your great Escape and I look forward to your photos.
thanks! we are having an amazing ‘escape’ – so much happening that there’s no time for managing photos or writing a post (or reading others’)
hope to catch up soon.
how’s your weather? i hope not catching any of that nasty storm.

Congrats to you Z, and thank you for mentioning me too! Hugs Chica! Cannot wait to see your escape!
You would be having an amazing time here at the middle of the world at the oldest hacienda in the country! First thing this morning there was a ‘life bird’ pecking at the windows and asking why in the world weren’t we outside yet!! The birds were medium sized bright yellow with black wings and yellow spots on the wings. Giant emerald hummingbirds were feeding on scarlett flowers in the same area. Yes, I will need to make ten escape posts, and am not sure when I will have the time to manage the photos and design the post!
Soon I hope!

What a great photo, perfect atmosphere and lighting! Love this – congratulations on winning, I can understand why. The scene begs to be painted – wow.
thanks so much! this past week in the andes, i have seen/photographed enough subject matter to keep me painting forEVER! it’s been a great trip, and another week to go. i’ll be managing photos for another month!

i’m not surprised that the image caught your attention. you are right – it does beg to be painted! the entire series of photos that morning was amazing.

How wonderful! Congratulations to you for landing in the Winners’ Circle! I’m not much surprised by your win. Your photograph is simply stunning. I’m sure many people from Cuba to Newfoundland are looking at such images with a certain trepidation just now, as that’s a nasty storm heading for the east coast. Even so, the sheer magnificence of the ocean’s power can’t be denied.
I’m traveling a bit myself – I’m up in Kansas City, completely enjoying my taste of fall. Cool temperatures, a freeze warning, a clear sky and a waxing moon – so different from your world, but equally gorgeous!
hey! it’s great to know that you’re travelling! we’ve been offline for 36+ hours, so I have yet to look at the headlines or weather. yes, it looks like there’s going to be a horrid storm.
glad that you’re enjoying a change of scenery! we had a fantabulous drive today, and now i have about 4G of photos to wade through before deciding what to share and where to start!
thanks for staying in touch via comments!

Kudos! I’m so happy for you! 😉
