This week’s PHOTO CHALLENGE is One Shot, Two Ways. I immediately thought of bingo night at the nearby beach village of La Division. Cheri states, “For this challenge, capture two images — a horizontal and a vertical version — of the same scene or subject. ”
Of course, a zeebra has to find a creative approach to playing bingo while practicing Spanish!
Thanks, Cheri, for the opportunity to share these Bingo images!

Fun post. 🙂 Love the photos.
thanks amiga! we sometimes need images to make us smile and remember to lighten up!
Maize?

This is just great! One of my favorites and I LOVE Bingo.
bingo is something we forget about – or it seems that we do.. i think that many think they are ‘above’ playing bingo, but it’s a fun way to interact with the community! z
It’s a great fundamental interaction. I miss it. I have to tell you that so far in my little world. You get the VC award !!!
(Sounds like a disease )
Laughs my head off : ))))
Liked the second pic’s translucency and play of shades and lights in angles:-D
thank you! the simple overhead lightbulb cast very dramatic shadows! z
That is so interesting. I am thinking now that maybe one could play Bingo with popcorn too. Then there would be a tasty treat at the end of each game!
you’re right! there’s always room for popcorn! z
looks like a lot of fun ^^
thanks! yes, we’ve had several bingo functions, and they’re always fun!
Z, very cool. It is amazing how you can capture so much art in the simplest of things. I love the second picture with the bluish light effect in the background. Well done. BTG
thank you! i’m glad you enjoyed the light and shadow; it’s easy when the eyes never rest!
You’re right. We do tend to “forget” about bingo. Years ago, my mom went with me down to Port Aransas, Texas. I had a job down there, and we rented a little cottage while I was working. There was quite a group of snowbirds there also, and they played bingo each afternoon and two nights a week.
Mom started playing with them, and one week she was the winner three times in a row. It was the highlight of her trip, and made some of the old geezers so mad they nearly spit. I still have one of the little trinkets she won – a refrigerator magnet. She also won an insulated drink tumbler with a palm tree and fish, and a set of kitchen potholders with tropical themes. Isn’t it funny that I can remember that, and I’m never sure where I’ve left my keys?
” …made some of the old geezers so mad they nearly spit.” you are such a great writer! that made me laugh!
yes, it’s funny how some details burn so fiercely and others wash down that stream almost instantly!
thanks, amiga!
This made me laugh! Kernels of corn! Is there no end to your imagination? Did you win? 😉
no, i didn’t win, but i had fun!!!! thanks! z
That’s more the point!
Works great – your mind is always thinking and being creative!!
Brilliant 😀

What a fun take on the challenge! Nice photos!
A big smile on my face over here! 🙂
The pictures are really cute. It is very creative to use corn or maize to keep track of the numbers on bingo cards. I usually use chalk since the bingo boards are similar to blackboard. How do the zebra practice Spanish? Were the bingo numbers announced in Spanish language?
ha! i played but at times i also called out the bingo letters and numbers in spanish and in english! the locals probably wished they could hurl tomatoes at me!
