An article in Scientific America’s Scientific Mind prompted a huge smile! “… creative thinking reduces stress and keeps the brain healthy…” (Creativity Predicts a Longer Life) This made me think of the many items that come from Playamart!
(Above: What’s real and what’s painted?!)
The following sea shell instantly triggered a fun image in my mind’s eye…
At home, I quickly converted the thought into a fun sketch! Sometimes we should release our inhibitions and have fun without worrying about what others might say
Lighten up and have fun with your art this week! Draw some fun doodles, scrawl a few fun words across a discarded board, or give an old relic a face lift!
Do it for your brain and keep it happy and healthy!
PS: (I’m still offline for most of each week while visiting my friends in a remote area; several times each week we go to town, where I squeeze in an hour here and there for internet. This is scheduled to be published Wed. evening, so hopefully it works! — Thanks for your great comments and support – and for not giving up on me!) Z

I SOOOOOO totally love what you do with your beach finds! I can’t decide which is my favorite, but the sketch inspired by the shell is delightful!

Have a great time! I just enjoy your way of always having art – and the sharing of it – in your thoughts! We are here for you whenever you come back. Just like you always think about helping, sharing and encouraging other people. Thank you for being there…

Give up?!?! Good grief! NEVER. What a loss that would be for me!
Now, is that cute little Chickee riding on a turtle?!?! That is just adorable! I so want to try this ‘bring back to life’ technique. We shall see. Be well. Have fun. See you when you get here. 😉

Miss you, thanks for keeping posting even with you limited internet, you are the best artist I ever met!

We miss you terribly but TOTALLY get it about being unavailable! (I’m in the same boat, for different reasons.) I love, love, love this post because I use so many recycled things in my crafts – I’m happy to know “real” artists can see the possibilities in what many others think of as trash. While I am learning I need to throw more away than I generally do, I see artistic possibilities in even such ephemeral things as old newspapers and small scraps of wood or fabric. Seeing your creations is a balm to my abiding discomfort with how much is thrown away and wasted in our world. Thank for the link to the Scientific Mind article – and for being you!

Good to see you here, even for just a quick hello. I thought of you this week. A new sno-cone stand has opened near the farmer’s market, and it might as well have been painted by the famous Zeebra! Are you sure you aren’t moonlighting, skulking around here in the States? I’ll try and remember to take my camera tomorrow and get a photo of it – or the first day it isn’t raining. Honestly, it looks exactly like it could have come from your hand!

Hi Z, Safe travels and the thoughts on creativity, welcomed. My ideas keep me up at night and often have me sailing with a new Wynken or Blynken! I’m just back from Turkey and used the phone app for blog posting on the go. Maybe you have it already?
Be careful!
