How about a bright happy nasturtium to smile on your day? (watercolor)
Can anyone have too many butterflies or beautiful flowers? When I am not painting, I sometimes work on the surplus of images and wonder what to do with them! When in a serious painting focus, I either tap into the sounds of nature that surround me, or I use a very select playlist.
One of my favorite artists is Dirk Maassen – (Thanks always, Argentina Carlos!) – and this video features one of his songs paired with butterfly images from the Mindo (Ecuador) area.
Enjoy!

Can there ever be too much beauty? I love you your water lilies. I got to know Dirk Maassen from Carlos, too! Very pleasant.
Gorgeous!
Reblogged this on The ObamaCrat™.
“like” is not working….. so I love it!
Absolutely beautiful; the video and music are relaxing and so peaceful.
A lovely combination of music, art and beautiful butterflies.
Beautiful! We have so few butterflies in comparison 😦
Nasturtiums they look nice and have a peppery taste in a salads,
both leaves and flowers.
Nice painting and a tasty subject.
Beautiful! Hope you are well – it’s been a long time.
How wonderful and amazing those little critters can be and you captured them beautifully! Loved the video, stills and the music! Perfect pairing! Hugs – B

Z, I love the nasturtiam painting. And, you cannot have too many butterflies. BTG
That flower is one of my favorites, but not in my garden no of course (cold now). So thanks for brightening my day, so do the beautiful butterflies.
Had not heard of Dirk Maassen before, but listening to him was sort of like hearing a blend of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata with anything by Erik Satie. Interesting combination.
Stunning!
Lovely photos & music, Lisa. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to experience the amazing Mindo Butterfly Garden recently!
Love the nasturtium, Lisa, and the butterflies in the video are so stunningly beautiful. What a lovely variety you have in Ecuador. 🙂
I really your work. Thanks for sharing. I invite you to visit my blog. Hugs, Barbara
Lisa, I love the composition on the nasturtium painting – you have the all-over focus, but then you have depth too. That wasn’t easy. And the video is lovely – I like when the background noise of your butterfly video is underneath the music. A great post!
Thanks for introducing me to Dirk Maassen Lisa. This is a wonderful video. Love your orange nasturtium. 🙂
