Tropical drinks for everyone!
With the cold weather sweeping across the Northern Hemisphere, I wish that I could fly you to the tropics or somewhere – anywhere other than where you’re cold and miserable and enduring brutally-extreme temperatures. Galleriaredelius’ brilliant mind of a jewelry maker commented on yesterday’s post: “As for the music, how about this new interpretation of Fly me to the moon, by Anna Ternheim”
I wish that I could fly you to the moon, but my budget will not allow that kind of extravagance! I can, however, take you on a cyber-reality magic carpet ride! After all of the hard work and suffering that Barb sacrificed to help paint magic dust into this work of art, it needs a checkout flight at least every six months… and it’s been six months since the last one!
Connections are slow, so there won’t be a Rescue Command Center to coordinate emergency airlift itineraries to any of you who are snowbound and have cabin fever. The Magic Carpet is undergoing preflight tests and will soon be making a round-the-world swoop!
Raise a yellow flag if you’d like to receive a delivery drop of happy tropical flowers! Raise two yellow flags if you’d like to climb aboard; have your boarding passes ready! (Not sure if you want to take the magic-carpet risk? We’ll throw in free cooking lessons as well! Learn how to make this quinoa-crust pizza in a skillet!)
What? You don’t have a boarding pass? Sure you do!!
Requirements:
1. Wear something yellow.
2. Present one huge genuine smile…
3. Climb aboard!
Because WP New-Post Notifications are not reaching my inbox, and the slow internet is not opening the Reader, I’m not sure who is snow bound or where to start!
I’ll be wearing my Yellow-Flag Detector Goggles, so wear your brightest smile, hoist a yellow flag/flags, and I’ll either drop flowers or swoop down and pick you up!

That is a beautiful flying carpet. Does it come with seat belts? That pizza looks yummy. 🙂
Playamart - Zeebra Designs said:
Thanks! No seat belts required! We painted enough magic into that carpet that we can do barrel rolls and loop-de-loops, and you won’t spill a drop from that ruby-red tropical drink! We can install some bunge cord tie-downs if that would help ease any pre-flight jitters!

This is so timely, Lisa. I feel for those going through the misery of brutal cold and losing power. I will give up my boarding pass for them as I had the time of my life six months ago on the incredible magic carpet. 🙂

You are so sweet and kind! We’ll move you laterally from passenger to flight crew!

2 yellow flags and a giant grin! Please stop by and pick me up. It’s BLOWING like crazy around here and the wind chill is teens below zero!
Playamart - Zeebra Designs said:
“Teens below zero!” i love that – well I don’t love that it’s so cold, but I love the way you said that! It’s been straight-down raining here for several hours; i’m so glad that i don’t have to be worried about ice storms anymore!
I’ll be sure to swoop down when I see your yellow flags!!!!

Are we suppose to be giving coordinates again or is this ‘pure magic’?
Playamart - Zeebra Designs said:
We’re going to have to rely on magic since I’m plotting this by hand and w/o the aid of modern technology! It’s taking about 8 or 10 minutes just to find a photo in archives. this is a litle like a fire drill to see if one can revert back to old methods if the gps and power grids fail!

Beautiful work Lisa. It would be so nice to have a tropical visit right about now. We are having a blizzard.

those delicate white fragrant gingers are in bloom; i’ll be sure to have a nosegay of those at your spot on the magic carpet! z

What a beautiful carpet! I’m so glad this departure showed up on the board over here. I’ll wave my yellow flag and smile as you pass over The Netherlands (we can certainly do with some extra colour here, it’s the dark time of year but there is no snow to make it lighter…) Stay safe everyone, enjoy the winds and the looping!
Playamart - Zeebra Designs said:
it will be a pleasure to air drop some flowers from ecuador! europe is a strong market for the ecuadorian floral trade, but not too many are delivered via magic carpet! thanks!

You asked….”Did this make you smile?” I not only smiled but snickered as it brought sooooo many fantastic memories back that have gotten lost in the archives of my mind!! Please pick me up on your way through….Just look for the Bridge of Americas in Panama and I’ll be to south of it waving several yellow flags….maybe get Laura out there too!! One of your best posts Lisa!

I think we’ll soar over the Galapagos and head straight for Australia! We’ve had some power glitches over here and are still without power. When power is restored (i’m in town recharing the laptop) we’ll coordinate what day to make this flight! z
