(MINDO, Ecuador)The view of the bamboo was as lovely upside down as it was right-side up! I am in town to get a few supplies and head back to the property before dark catches me on the road. Will be back next week, but wanted to send a smoke signal that all’s fine in the cloud forest!
Aracari landed at the front of the house as if to ask, “What in the word are you doing, Gringita?”
Enjoy the song (below) and a sample of photos taken this week.
Suffice to know that all’s going well, the weather’s been absolutly perfect, and I’m squeezing the most from each day. Whoever buys this property is going to gain a gem!
“Did someone say, ‘Upside Down?'”
While working, I noted a new bird sound and was rewarded by seeing this magnificent woodpecker!
Not wanting to be upstaged by a woodpecker, this laughing falcon landed in the same tree!
The pristine amaryllis stole the morning show.
These lovely plants will be a model for a future painting..
This was blooming high in the canopy.
Look up, look dow, look all around. Today I walked up a trail and stopped and admired the beauty all around.
The tree ferns are so magical.
It’s time to return, but look at the end-of-day view that awaits me!
See you next week!
Have a good weekend!
