So I was looking for the song, “Flatlands,” by Steve Azar and got distracted by another! (S. Azar is from Greenville Mississippi)   This video fits well with Ailsa’s  travel theme of “PLAY.”

Maybe some of you can take a three-day weekend and play! Continue reading →

After the Ecuador Crash Course group left Canoa Beach Hotel,  Susana stepped into her job as Spanish teacher and prompted us to count heads in Spanish as the bus took us the half-hour ride to San Vicente!    Learning a new language is often difficult for many, but Susana’s infectious spirit reminded us to embrace the new words and cherish the adventure! This modest house transforms into a work of art beneath the street light!

Tipping out of Hostal Cruzita during the pre-dawn hours,  I stopped  for several photos on my way to the corner bus stop.  A full day awaited me at the Cancebi Museo in Manta, Ecuador, where The Mola Series Exhibition entered its third week.

A lone rooster broke the serene stillness of the morning  as he announced the arrival of the 5:20 bus to Manta.     Although I anticipated meeting the Experience Ecuador group at the Manta airport in less than two hours, I would never have dreamed that the next two days would bring such an amazing and diverse group of people into my life!

The devil surely has his fingers in the computer world!  True to my recent statement, “It’s not what one has planned for the day,” this week brought computer demons that altered my priorities!   An ultra-sluggish Windows 7 system refused to upload any information, my computer challenged my competitive spirit, and I was determined to wrestle it back into submission.

..When All Else Fails... (Probably 30 attempts to upload this before it worked!)

This problem happens only Continue reading →
